After last year’s sold-out debut, we celebrated our diverse roots this year again at the Rooted Festival on Saturday 30 August 2025 at De Hoorneboeg in Hilversum.

The Rooted Festival is our annual homecoming day for the broad Rooted community. Organized by Rooted, UN Refugee Agency UNHCR and De Hoorneboeg, this annual one-day festival invites you to share (your) stories and be inspired by others as we collectively explore themes as migration, identity and belonging. Rooted Festival is for people with ánd without a migration background. It is a place to together build a collective home in the Netherlands with room for all our identities. Through stories, music, workshops, dance and film we connect and all belong.
