Community Events

You can attend the Rooted community events either as a continuation of your rooting journey beyond participating in the weekend, or as a newcomer wanting to get a taste of what Rooted has to offer. Some of our events are organized by Rooted and are facilitated by a coach, focusing on specific dimensions of rootedness. Others are community-led events, initiated by community members wanting to share part of their culture, identity, or something they feel passionate about.*

Rooted Festival

calendar-day
On Saturday 29th of August 2026, Rooted Festival invites you for the third edition to step into that world. A place where you can simply be, connect, and experience new ways of being together. Throughout the day, you’ll explore what an inclusive and cohesive society can look and feel like – not just in theory, […]

*Please note that some of our events, which may require more of a safe space, are only open to those who have already participated in a Rooted weekend. Others are open to the public. We will indicate whether an event is open or closed in the description and include a “how to sign up” for open events. For closed events, our community members will receive a separate email and WhatsApp message on how to sign up.

Community highlights

A community driven from within

The strength of the Rooted community lies in the creativity and contributions of its members. Everyone is invited to organize community-led events, from shared meals and cultural evenings to nature walks and museum visits. These gatherings arise for many reasons: to share one’s culture, to explore The Netherlands together, or simply to connect more deeply.
What they all have in common is a shared purpose: to build meaningful relationships and strengthen our sense of belonging.

Our community events are guided by our manifesto, a living document that all community members are invited to contribute to as we build our shared practice of belonging.
